The background effect here in these two images is just gorgeous, sort of painterly. Thanks for telling about the exhibition, but I missed it as I was away for the weekend, but I looked up the artist on the web- at least I think it was her! (interesting that she is a reknowned scientist as well). I would love to see her stuff in person, as it looks like an intriguing technique she has, and the colours are so intense.
