I spent an hour or two this morning at Queens Park in Moonee Ponds, Melbourne. We had blue skies and lots of sun (for a while!). Mother black swan and her three baby cygnets were lounging in the sun on the grass beside a pathway. Mother swan loudly hissed at anyone who came too close to her babies. The lake with the fountains is the place these babies, and many other birds, live. There are breeding grounds on the islands in the lake. A very pleasant few hours well spent!
About Me
- Name: Chris Fry
- Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
I am mother to two young adults in their mid to late 20's. I work in the medical field as an admin officer/personal assistant. I look forward to the day when I can spend heaps more time taking and making photographs. However, for now, the bills have to be paid. I married a jazz musician many, many years ago. My adopted home is Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. I am originally from North Queensland... a tropical place!

You managed some excellent photos!! Those young black swan are even striking in their fuzzy stage of life.
